Hello Summer!

Dare I say it? But it looks like the world is finally beginning to return to some kind of normality. With restrictions starting to lift, and the weather picking up, we spent Bank Holiday Monday at a family barbecue. Four generations of us got together, and it was wonderful to be able to spend time together, eat, drink, chat, relax, and watch the children wear themselves out in the garden – they were so excited to have their first sleepover at Nannie and Grandad’s for over a year. They are back at school now after the half-term break, and summer is well and truly upon us. We have some fruit and veg growing in the garden and the greenhouse, and we have even had some baby blackbirds hatch in a nest in our carport!

Love2melt HQ has been full of fresh summer scents, and there is, as always plenty of choice, and something for everyone. We have lots of laundry fragrances, Fresh Linen and Lenora Blue are two of our best sellers. I just love the smell of the washing when it’s been dried on the line, and if like me you’re a sucker for the well-known “Unstoppable” range, give those a try – they really do make the house smell like your favourite laundry brand. But we also have the Fruit & Florals, to bring the outside in, for example, Lilly of the Valley, Lime Basil & Mandarin, Lemon, Rhubarb & Rose, and Sweet Pea. If you prefer Peaceful and Relaxing, then Lavender is very popular, as is Seychelles (another one of our top sellers). If sweet smells are your thing, then what could conjure up memories of the fairground or summer fete more than Candyfloss & Marshmallow or Cola Bottles? We even have snap bars with smells that remind you of drinks in the garden on a warm summer evening, like Pink Lemonade, Pina Colada, and Watermelon Margarita. Divine! Don’t forget that some of these fragrances also come in reed diffusers, carpet fresheners, and room sprays.

June usually marks the start of the wedding season, and I have recently completed an order of “Wedding Day” scented melts for wedding favours. What a fabulous idea! I also made some pink and blue “Baby Powder” ones for a baby shower. I am always happy to receive special requests, so if you have a special occasion coming up and would like something a bit different please don’t hesitate to contact me, I would love to help.

Time to pop “Seychelles” on to melt, have a coffee and take five minutes to myself I think. Thanks as always to you all for continuing to support my little business. I really do appreciate every single one of you. And if you follow me on social media please keep liking and sharing to help us spread the word, and the love and passion even further.

Stay safe everyone, and happy melting!
